One word to describe volunteering with FFR: life changing. I was involved from across the world for quite some time with FFR but the experience in Romania itself was transforming. I was overwhelmed when I was met with smiles, hugs, and high fives from the children at the Agape Center. The babies’ smiles at the hospital just melted my heart. It was a hard goodbye. I felt that I could have and should have done so much more for them and with them. But I will take with me what they have taught me. When we see their situation and circumstances, all they know is love and joy. It was such an awesome reminder for me, “be joyful always and give thanks in all circumstances.” I came to be a blessing to them and in reality, it is them who blessed me.
